ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE UNIVERSITY’S MEXT RECOMMENDATION GRANT. THE JAPANESE MEXT GOVERNMENT OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS AT YOKOHAMA UNIVERSITY TO STUDY IN JAPAN FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TO
IELTS/TOEFL is not mandatory. Students who were english language institute can submit their English proficiency certificate from their university & are exempt from the language test.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OF ANY NATIONALITY CAN APPLY FOR A MEXT JAPAN SCHOLARSHIP FOR A BACHELOR’S, MASTER’S, DOCTORAL OR DOCTORAL PROGRAM. YOKOHAMA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY IS ONE OF JAPAN’S LEADING UNIVERSITIES. THE COURSES WILL BE TAUGHT IN ENGLISH.

AS MENTIONED ABOVE, THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT GRANT FOR INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, GRADUATE STUDENTS AND DOCTORAL STUDENTS IS A FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP IN JAPAN BY MEXT. ALL EXPENSES WILL BE COVERED.

MEXT GRANT: 144,000 YEN PER MONTH FOR THE MAIN APPLICANT.

phd courses: 145,000 yin per month.

tawfiq: free accommodation will be provided by the university

allowance: 2,000 or 3,000 yen per month will be added to the monthly grant.

preparatory education and informal students: 143,000 yen per month

NO TUITION: FEZ FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAM, THE FULL COURSE TUITION FEE WILL BE PAID BY MEXT UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP RECOMMENDATION.
