will be offered to students who have received admission to the master’s degree in english program at umeå university.in addition to the swedish institute grants, the university offers two other categories of scholarships as described below.
1. umeå university scholarship for international students. this grant is provided to each student applying for admission in the fall. the scholarship is for academically
gifted, excellent and outstanding students from outside the eu.
2. erling pearson scholarship for international students in public health: these scholarships
are provided by umical general university to students applying for admission to the fall semester, for academically gifted, excellent and outstanding students. the grant is for students in public health and
is sponsored by the erling pearson family foundation.

the erling pearson scholarship program offers 8 scholarships to new students covering full

eligibility required to obtain umeå university grants
applicants for the umeå university scholarship for international students must meet the following application requirements.
you will need to complete your application for admission
to the master’s degree program before the scholarship is considered in order to consider your application, the umeå university program must be your first priority on the university’s admissions platform.
applicants for the erling pearson grant must meet the following criteria you must be a citizen of a country outside the european union/european economic region and switzerland.
candidates must meet the requirements for admission to the master’s degree in public health program.
you must have completed your application for admission to the master’s degree program before the scholarship is considered in order to consider your application, the umeå university program must be your first priority on the university’s admissions platform.

you must apply for a master’s degree of your choice, bearing in mind
if you wish to apply for the umeå university scholarship for international students or the erling pearson scholarship. please remember that you will need to secure admission to a degree program of your choice granted in the umeac priority 1 program.
the application period for the said grants will be opened on january 18, 2022, exactly after the deadline for applying for admission expires. only students applying
for admission will be eligible to apply for scholarships.
