The MEXT is a fully funded government scholarship for international students to study in
Japan. It’s an excellent opportunity for students to pursue higher education (MA or PhD) in
Japan.

Funding:
The benefits of the Research 2022 grants are as follows.
The beneficiary will receive the salary every month.
Also, full tuition coverage.
The scholarship will provide a 30%, 50% or 100% tuition exemption.

Eligibility requirements
The criteria for applicants to apply for research grants are as follows:
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.
Also, applicants for research programs must be under 35 years of age.
This scholarship program is open only to international students.
In addition, applicants must first register in a Japanese master’s or doctoral program.
