med university sweden offers a number of scholarships in selected master’s programs for high-performing students applying for a course at med university of sweden.

funding:
the grant covers 75% of tuition fees. the remaining 25% of tuition fees per semester, as well as travel costs, living costs and all other expenses, are not included in the grant and must be covered by other funding.

eligibility criteria

citizens from non-eu/eea/switzerland countries who are required to pay tuition fees and have applied through university admission to one of the above-mentioned programmes before 17th january 2022 application fees have been paid until february 1, 2022.

how to apply?
the tuition fee grant will be open from february 10, 2022 to february 28, 2022. students who have applied and paid the application fee before the deadline will receive a link to the application form by email.
you will be asked to motivate your choice of study program and think about its importance to your professional development.
selection process:
candidates are selected on the basis of the intention of study and academic achievements. the intention to study is assessed by your individual response to the following article questions:

WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO APPLY FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROGRAM AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE MED UNIVERSITY SWEDEN? (OBS! WE MEAN STUDY PROGRAM, NOT GRANT!)

how are the program’s objectives linked to your future plans? how will you use your new skills and competencies?
tuition scholarship candidates must be very enthusiastic and well prepared to attend their studies at med university of sweden.
academic achievement will be assessed on the basis of the supporting documents you provided upon application to med university sweden through admission to the university. you don’t have to send supporting documents again when applying for the grant. in the selection process, the distribution of even students by gender and country of origin is taken into account.
notification
applicants will be notified of the selection results by email no later than april 30, 2022. students who are offered a scholarship must respond to the grant offer within 7 days.
exchange certificate and scholarships
no funds will be disbursed to the grantee. instead, the scholarship amount will be deducted from the tuition bill, which will be sent to the student. the student will also receive an email confirming that tuition fees will be paid when the remaining 25% is paid. a separate scholarship certificate will not be provided.
the university of med sweden will
inform the swedish migration agency that tuition fees have been paid. therefore, there is no need for a certificate to apply for a residence permit. a scholarship contract will be delivered upon arrival on campus.
scholarship principles
the following scholarship principles apply to tuition fees to the university of med sweden:

the grant cannot be converted into another study program at med university sweden or another university.

the grant is valid for study from autumn 2022 and cannot be transferred to a later semester.

the grant holder is obliged to confirm his nationality by presenting his passport to the office of international relations at the university of med sweden before pursuing his studies.
-
the grant holder is committed to starting his planned studies by the deadline set by the university of med sweden. failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.
-
the grant holder must enroll in the courses at the beginning of each semester. failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship for the remainder of the study.
-
the grant holder must pass at least 15 credits per semester. failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.
-
if the grantee has erroneously stated that he or she has met the terms of the scholarship, by misunderstanding or for another reason, the grant will be withdrawn.
-
the grant holder is obliged to inform med university of sweden if there is a change in the requirement to pay tuition fees. the grant will be withdrawn from the date the student is not required to pay the tuition fees.
only a few students receive scholarships each year. therefore, you should start planning ways to fund your tuition fees and stay in sweden early, if you do not receive a scholarship.
