about the grant

apply for the markit university global research scholarship program in the united states. the global researcher award aims to portray the importance of diverse global perspectives and international perspectives within the marquette university community. markit university is therefore proud to present this competitive award, which offers full education based on the student’s higher academic achievement, and has shown interest in global perspectives and the student’s potential to make significant global contributions.

this scholarship covers the duration of the entire bachelor’s degree program, but will be renewable each year from your four-year university program (eight semesters) and subject to academic performance. as a global researcher, you are expected to begin and contribute to global engagement activities on campus and milwaukee communities each year of the award. the award is available for 4 years of university studies.

if you are selected for the program, you will benefit from the following

• the scholarship covers the entire study in your undergraduate studies at markit university

• this grant is renewable every year, subject to academic performance

• for this academic year, the university offers a total of 3 scholarships

eligibility criteria:

in order to apply, you must fill out the following application terms in full.

• first, as a student, you must be an international student and a citizen of any country around the world.

• second, you must be in high school applying to markit as a freshman for a first-year bachelor’s degree program.

• third, applicants must have attended their studies from a high school outside the united states

• YOU MUST HAVE ACHIEVED A MINIMUM OF 3.25 GPA ON A SCALE OF 4.0 IN ALL PREPARATORY COURSES FOR THE COLLEGE.

• candidates must demonstrate their passion for leadership, within their school environment and larger community, which shows a global perspective

• YOU MUST BE CLASSIFIED AS AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ELIGIBLE FOR AN F-1 NONIMMIGRANT VISA

if you are interested, you must apply for admission to marquette for a lower-than-pre-required degree program. your application requires you to submit all application materials for admission to marquette university and accept you before the world researcher’s march 1 deadline. search below the required application materials

a fully completed global researcher request that you can find on the student
status page must provide a well-written article with the following details:

• request and submit a letter of recommendation from someone who knows you well: we suggest that the recommendation letter explain your experience and interest in global issues

• compile or resume the list of school activities.
