the maximum grant to be granted is us$50,000.
eligibility criteria:
open to registered private entities operating in kenya.
in order to consider grant funding, the applicant must prove:
first, it has had basic functional management and financial controls for at least 2 years.
secondly, financial institutions have been used in all their business transactions over the past 12 months.
money transfer statements can be used to support bank data.
thirdly, in the past it applied for commercial investment and met with some (if not most) financing
requirements, but the application was rejected due to gaps in internal systems and capabilities.
in addition, all taxes were paid to the competent authorities in a timely manner.
moreover, they are legally registered and have fixed places for business operations.
similarly, it has the capacity to make a contribution of at least 50% to the cost of carrying out activities
under grant funding.
for group-owned enterprises/cooperatives, the applicant must prove that he or she has succeeded in working
together for at least two years, has the ability to use grant funds effectively, is a member
who agrees on the challenges to be met by grant funding and has an obligation to benefit
