A brief description 

this activity aims to strengthen communities within croatia to promote conservation and involve young people in practical conservation experiments. this dynamic opportunity is based in zagreb, the capital of croatia, and many croatian protected areas. it will provide a unique opportunity to explore hidden landscapes during field work in ornithology, learn about public education and raise awareness, and build solidarity between people and nature while contributing to a number of critical conservation projects. the expected tasks of volunteers are: participating in conservation field work and bird care activities; participating in nature care activities; preserving the environment, organizing and participating in educational activities, raising awareness and building society; and creating educational and promotional content for social media sites and organizations. for more information on how to apply, please read our volunteer invitation: https://www.biom.hr/en/volunteer-with-biom-within-the-european-solidarity-corps/

accommodation, food and transport arrangements

volunteers will have a shared apartment in zagreb throughout the entire activity period, as well as accommodation at each work site during field work activities. many of these sites will be isolated or in very small communities of people. all travel costs related to the project incurred by volunteers will be paid. volunteers will receive a predetermined monthly allowance (pocket money) and funds to cover their food expenses.

during this activity, participants will participate in: language course with speakers; soft skills development sessions; and other task-specific exercises.
