about the grant

apply for the geneva university scholarship for excellence program for international students to study in switzerland. each year, the university of geneva offers many scholarships to enthusiastic international students who wish to master’s degrees at the university. the faculty of science, supported by external partners, is the main sponsor of this program. this excellence fellowship program is open to outstanding and enthusiastic students who want to pursue a master’s degree in science in one of the disciplines covered by the college.

the choice for all candidates for this program is based solely on excellence. selected applicants are usually awarded a one-year grant and extended to the normal duration of the selected master’s program provided subject to academic performance. the faculty of science offers many master’s programs in english and french in these fields. mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, biology, prehistoric archaeology, geology, environmental sciences, pharmacy, and neuroscience.

the faculty of science at the university of geneva is an internationally recognized and pioneering research institution that promotes its advanced research in a wide range of scientific disciplines. this college is an ideal training base for an academic associated with professional development. master’s degree programs are either in full english, or in english and french.

a brief description

funding:

• if you are selected for the excellence fellowship, you will receive a grant of up to 10,000 swiss francs to 15,000 swiss francs per year.

• the grant will be used to meet the needs of your stay in switzerland for the duration of the program

• this grant will be awarded for one year and extended for the normal duration of the chosen master’s program. this is provided that you are academically successful at the end of the first semester of study.

eligibility criteria:

• applicants are very enthusiastic students who have successfully completed the bachelor’s degree program.

• candidates who are expected to complete their bachelor’s degree within 6 months are also welcome to apply,

• you must prove excellent performance, usually ranked among the top 10% of your class.

• applicants must meet the admission requirements for the master’s program of their choice at the university of geneva.

• qualified certification programs are those in the fields of astronomy, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, pharmaceutical sciences, earth sciences and the environment.

how to apply:

APPLICANTS MUST APPLY USING THE ONLINE APPLICATION PLATFORM. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IN ORDER TO CONSIDER THE SCHOLARSHIP, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURES PROVIDED FOR ON THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE WEBSITE. YOUR APPLICATION WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS AS A SINGLE PDF FILE

• first, you’ll need to check your national id card or passport.

• second, your last two-page cv is a maximum.

• applicants must submit a copy of the examinations passed during bachelor’s education, with all grades and grades.

• you will be asked to write a motivational letter describing your specific scientific interests as well as your motivation to pursue the master of science program at the university of geneva.

• if possible, reference letters from two professors that should be sent by them directly support your application.

• SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION SUCH AS ENGLISH PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATES (TOEFL, IELTS) GRE OR OTHER LANGUAGE TESTING.

You should also include a scan of your UNIGE card or if you are not a student at UNIGE yet, or a central management mail called “Votre Nomination à l’UNIGE” as evidence that you have begun the admission process.
