About the scholarship
All international students and citizens in Canada are eligible to apply for scholarships at the
University of Alberta. Talented students who wish to earn a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate
degree are encouraged to apply. The university offers a lot of scholarships for needy and
talented students. The university also offers fully funded scholarships.
All academic fields and disciplines are available at the university for bachelor’s degree or
postgraduate degree program. For most scholarships, you do not need to apply separately.
Applicants are automatically considered after enrolling in any degree program.

Funding:
The University of Alberta Scholarship 2022 in Canada for international students has multiple
funding sources such as the Canadian government, the government of Alberta and also from
other sources. The full details of the scholarships are listed below:
Admission grants:
These scholarships are available for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. There is no
need to apply separately for these scholarships. The university is automatically considered
for this scholarship after obtaining admission.
International Student Grants:
New first-year students in bachelor’s degree programs are eligible for these student visa
permit scholarships. These scholarships amount to $9,000 and are payable for four years.
Gold Standard Grant:
Top 5% students in academic achievements are eligible for these scholarships worth up to
$6000.
phd Employment Grant:
These scholarships are designed for PhD students to meet fee requirements of $5,000 per
year.
Master’s Degree Entrance Grant:
Master’s degree students will receive a salary of $17,500 while international candidates will
receive an additional $10,000 in coverage fees.
Graduate Excellence Grant:
Master’s and doctoral students can receive a $15,000 prize for their expenses.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants of any nationality are eligible to apply for Alberta grants.
To apply for a bachelor’s degree, you must have a GCSE.
To earn a master’s degree, you must have a bachelor’s degree.
For PhD admission, master’s degree is required.
