APPLICANTS HAVE BEEN INVITED TO APPLY FOR A GLOBAL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP IN KOREA 2021 IN SOUTH KOREA. ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE 2022 GKS BACHELOR’S SCHOLARSHIP. THE KOREAN GOVERNMENT GRANT IS AVAILABLE TO ALL ASPIRANTS FOR A BACHELOR’S DEGREE FROM THE BEST KOREAN UNIVERSITIES. THIS IS A FULLY FUNDED GRANT DESIGNED FOR TALENTED STUDENTS TO COMPLETE THEIR EDUCATION FROM KOREA. THE AWARD IS AVAILABLE FOR THE 2022-23 ACADEMIC SESSION.
GKS Scholarship offers almost all academic fields and disciplines under this scholarship to complete a bachelor’s degree. A total of 220 prizes will be awarded to selected candidates, including 125 using the embassy route and 95 using the university route. The grant will cover all study expenses in Korea. The duration of the scholarship is 5 years including a one-year language course and a 4-year degree program.
there are separate submission procedures and an application deadline for each embassy and university. you should contact them for more information about this. but the deadline usually ends in september or early october.

applicants from their parents with any non-korean nationality are eligible to apply for a korean scholarship.
korean citizens and dual nationals (person of korean nationality and nationality of another country) are not eligible to apply.
the applicant must be under 25 years of age (born
march 1, 1997) must have a high school diploma before february 28, 2022, or is expected to graduate before february 28, 2022.
all applicants must be mentally and physically fit to study in korea for a full-time degree or research programs.

important note:
the candidate cannot apply
for more than one path: it is completely forbidden to apply on
both the embassy and university paths (the regional university track for natural
science and engineering disciplines, and the fellowship course) completely prohibits applying on both courses within the university tracks (the university’s regional path for natural sciences and engineering disciplines and the fellowship course) for the applicant on the university track, one can apply to one university and only one specialty.
note: if the applicant is found to have applied to more than one path, he or she will be excluded from this grant.

under this course, applicants are required to submit their application documents to the embassy of the republic of korea in their countries of nationality and can apply to all available areas of study provided by 38 universities.
university path: total awards: 95
The university’s regional path is dedicated only to natural science and engineering disciplines. Applicants planning to apply to GKS through
the university path must apply to the university of their choice.
applicants for the university course must choose the “generic” option for the type of application.

how do you apply for a global university scholarship in korea?
there are two processes for applying for a global university scholarship in korea 2021. embassy or university path. you only have to follow one procedure. you cannot apply on both tracks.
application through the embassy:
any area of study or specialization except pharmacy, dentistry, medicine and architecture. the embassy will provide you with detailed instructions on the application.
CONTACT THE KOREAN EMBASSY IN YOUR COUNTRY AND GET DETAILS ABOUT OPENING THE SCHOLARSHIP. BECAUSE USING THIS ROUTE, EMBASSIES MUST SEND THE LIST OF SELECTED APPLICANTS TO NIIED.
apply directly to the university:
only engineering and natural sciences disciplines except architecture, dentistry and medicine, pharmacy can progress using the university path.
YOU MUST CHOOSE ONE UNIVERSITY FROM THE LIST OF UNIVERSITIES SUBMITTED ABOVE AND APPLY AT THAT UNIVERSITY. THE UNIVERSITY WILL NOMINATE YOUR NAME AND SEND YOUR APPLICATION TO THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (NIIED) AND MAKE THE FINAL SELECTION.
