About the scholarship
All international students from over 180 countries are eligible to apply for the Government of Mexico Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreigners Fully Funded. This is a great opportunity for students from all over the world to pursue a free Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree from Mexico. The award is presented by the Government of Mexico. The scholarship is available for the academic session 2023-24.
Almost all academic fields and majors are available under the Mexico Scholarships for students from all over the world for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The scholarship will cover all expenses for studying abroad.

The Government of Mexico 2023 Scholarship in Mexico is a fully funded scholarship program for international students. The scholarship will provide all the costs needed to study in Mexico. Below are the details of covered expenses:
Mobility Scholarships for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree
Research residency at the master’s level, a monthly maintenance amount of 4 (four) times the monthly value of the UMA, currently equivalent to $11,700.36 per month in Mexican pesos.
For PhD Scholarships:
Doctoral, Postdoctoral, Medical, and Subspecialty Research Residences, a monthly amount for maintenance of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the UMA, equivalent today to $14,625.45 in Mexican Peso. The UMA is subject to changes required by law.
Registration and tuition fees, according to the program provisions of each Mexican educational institution, and subject to the final decision of each institution, which is issued through a letter of acceptance.
Medical insurance through the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), the validity of which will start from the seventh month of the scholarship, and with a term corresponding to the period of the scholarship awarded.
Exemption from the cost of issuing a Mexican visa.
International air transportation upon satisfactory completion of the scholarship. The ticket is granted in economy class and according to the itinerary.
