Altinbas University grants in Turkey cover 100% tuition fees

UNIVERSITY ADMISSION GRANTS (ÖSYM):

STUDENTS WHO ARE PLACED IN PROGRAMS, WHICH HAVE BEEN ADVERTISED AS A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM BY ÖSYM (STUDENT CHOICE AND PLACEMENT CENTER) ARE AWARDED A RANGE OF DIFFERENT SCHOLARSHIPS.

• students placed in full scholarship programs will be exempt from paying all tuition fees

• students placed in scholarship programs for three-quarters of students will be exempt from 75% of tuition fees

• students placed in half-education programs will be exempt from 50% of tuition fees

• students placed in a quarter of scholarship programs will be exempt from 25% of tuition fees.

admission grants are not payable. if students with the above scholarships fail to complete the english preparatory program within two years, their scholarships will be terminated. scholarships are valid during the maximum study period as specified in higher education act no. 2547. admission grants for major dual programs and summer school are provided in accordance with board of trustees resolutions.

merit-based scholarships:

According to placement test grades in the university entrance exam, students selected from among those placed in the fellowship and bachelor’s degree program for the first time who also rank among the senate-determined grades at Altınbaş University are awarded merit-based scholarships for 9 months per year for the duration of the standard study, provided they achieve good academic standing. Merit-based scholarships should be frozen if the student rate drops below 2.50 out of 4.00.

honours:

AT THE END OF EACH ACADEMIC YEAR, AFTER COMPLETING THE PREPARATORY ENGLISH PROGRAM, THE BEST STUDENTS WHO HAVE ACHIEVED OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC RESULTS AT THEIR UNIVERSITY/VOCATIONAL SCHOOL ARE AWARDED HONORS FOR THE FOLLOWING ACADEMIC YEAR;

the granting of honour is allocated as follows:

arts grants:

• Students ranked among the top three in international Western painting, sculpture, film and classical music competitions, who applied to the Altınbaş University Scholarship Committee before the university application period, and whose applications are accepted by the Committee receive a technical grant. Amounts are determined by the Board of Trustees.

sports grants:

• the turkish ministry of youth and sports grants full scholarships covering the standard duration of study for athletes placed at the university of altinbas who have succeeded in the following categories. candidates must submit documents to prove their sporting achievements in the past 4 years.

group a:

ATHLETES WHO WON MEDALS AT THE OLYMPICS, PARALYMPICS AND DEAF OLYMPICS; YOUTH OLYMPICS (YOG); IN THE MAJOR OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE WORLD AND EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND IN THE ADULT TOURNAMENTS OF THE WORLD CUP AND THE EUROPEAN CUP,

group b:

ATHLETES WHO HAVE WON MEDALS IN THE U-21 YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS, YOUTH AND STAR CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC SPORTS; IN THE YOUTH AND UNDER-21 STARS LEAGUE AT THE WORLD CUP AND EUROPEAN CUP; EUROPEAN GAMES; UNIVERSITY GAMES, MEDITERRANEAN GAMES, ISLAMIC SOLIDARITY GAMES, WINTER AND SUMMER EDITION OF THE EUROPEAN YOUTH OLYMPIC FESTIVAL, AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD BY THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF SPORT AND THE UNIVERSITY, AS WELL AS ATHLETES WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES, PARALYMPIC GAMES AND PARALYMPIC GAMES. group c:

athletes who have won medals in international competitions and championships held at the olympics, paralympic games and scales in the international federations’ schedule and participate in at least nine country teams in team sports, with a minimum of 16 qatari athletes in individual sports; as well as athletes who competed in the european and world championships held in adults, under-21s, youth and stars, olympic and paralympic championships, and in the world cup and european cup finals held in adults, under-21s, young and star sports tournaments that do not hold the world championships and europe.

granting children of martyrs:

EACH ACADEMIC YEAR, A TOTAL OF SIX STUDENTS (THREE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN BACHELOR’S PROGRAMS AND THREE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS) ARE AWARDED THE MARTYRS’ CHILDREN’S SCHOLARSHIP. THIS GRANT COVERS TUITION FEES AND LASTS FOR THE DURATION OF THE STANDARD STUDY PERIOD AS APPLIED TO UNIVERSITY ADMISSION GRANTS (ÖSYM).

students wishing to apply for the martyrs’ children’s grant are required to apply in advance to the office of health, culture and sports before the deadline, along with any required documents.

if applications exceed the quota for the martyrs’ children’s grant, applicants are screened according to their central placement grades. students who cannot be awarded scholarships must register in accordance with the requirements of the program in which they are placed.

board of trustees grant:

students placed in programs requiring tuition payment or in scholarship programs (including preparatory grade students) can be awarded an additional 25% merit-based discount on tuition based on the decision of the board of trustees. students with the said grant are entitled to keep it for the duration of their studies, provided their cumulative rate is 3.00 and above. otherwise, the student grant status must be reset to its previous status.

sibling discount:

According to Article 10 of altınbaş University Grant Directive, each sibling can apply for a sibling discount if they are enrolled simultaneously in Altınbaş University associate degree/bachelor’s degree programs.

the sibling discount applies only to tuition fees, so a renewal application is submitted at the beginning of each school year.

applications must be submitted to the office of health, culture and sports with documents proving the relationship between siblings (copy of the identity certificate register, copy of the birth certificate).

• eligible countries: applications are open from turkey.

• course or qualified subjects: bachelor’s degree in any subject offered by the university.

• eligibility criteria: in order for the applicant to be eligible, he or she must meet all the criteria.
