Rosa-Luxembourg-Stiftung’s Scholarship Department awards master’s and doctorates to highly qualified international students who wish to conduct studies in Germany. They must be individuals who show a high level of social and political participation.

the scholarship for international students is in the form of a live scholarship, throughout the standard study program. tuition fees are not covered for international students.
Rosa-Luxembourg-Stiftung’s scholarship department provides researchers with a wide range of support, including political education events, summer schools, local and outdoor workshops, seminars and educational trips. It also organizes practical training in areas such as public speaking, conflict management and other basic skills, time management and self-management, enhanced academic qualifications, text and writing workshops, and specific seminars on methodology.
eligibility criteria
the scholarship department grants grants to foreign students (master only) and doctoral students who temporarily reside in germany for study or research purposes. the requirements are:
• German proficiency (B2 level
or higher) • Master’s students must be enrolled at a state or state-recognized
German university • Doctoral students must be admitted to a German university
applicants for master’s and doctoral scholarships from egypt, libya, lebanon, tunisia, yemen, jordan, morocco and iraq can be postgraduate students pursuing a master’s degree, diploma, state exam in germany, or doctoral students seeking doctorates or doctoral research in germany.
the selection criteria are:
High scientific and professional qualifications (evidence of above-average
academic achievement at school and/or university) • Political and social participation in line with the objectives of the Rosa Luxembourg
Foundation • German proficiency (B2 level or higher).
