about the grant

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED TO APPLY FOR CSC GRANTS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST CHINA 2022 IN CHINA. THE GRANT IS PROVIDED BY THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT. ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS AT THE EAST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. STUDENTS WHO WISH TO OBTAIN A MASTER’S OR DOCTORAL DEGREE FROM THE EAST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN CHINA ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. THIS IS A FULLY FUNDED GRANT AVAILABLE FOR THE 2022-2023 ACADEMIC YEAR.

THE EAST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PROVIDES ALMOST ALL FIELDS AND ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES UNDER THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT’S SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY GRADUATE PROGRAMS. IELTS/TOEFL IS NOT REQUIRED FOR A CSC GRANT. THE DURATION OF THE MASTER’S DEGREE IS 2.5-5 YEARS AND THE PHD DEGREE IS 3-4 YEARS. THE PRIZE COVERS ALL EXPENSES.

FOUNDED IN 1952, THE EAST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ECUST) IS A RESEARCH INSTITUTION LOCATED IN SHANGHAI. MORE THAN 25,000 NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED AT THE UNIVERSITY.

a brief description

funding:

the chinese government’s scholarship to the east china university of science and technology is a fully funded scholarship for international students. the following things will be covered:

• registration fees

• 100% tuition will be awarded.

• free accommodation will be provided on campus

• the monthly allowance is provided as follows:

  • MASTER’S DEGREE: 3,000 CNY/MONTH

  • PHD: 3,500 CNY/MONTH

• comprehensive medical insurance

eligibility criteria:

• non-chinese applicants must be in good health.

• international students outside china, or chinese university graduates, must be eligible to apply for this grant.

• excellent performance in the study.

• applicants must have a good ability in scientific research

• applicants applying for a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.

• candidates for doctoral programs must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

documents required:

the candidate must submit the following document online to apply for a scholarship:

1. valid passport copy

2. top degree certificates and texts

3. HSK CERTIFICATE OR PROOF OF ENGLISH

4. acceptance letter

5. two letters of recommendation

6. study plan or research proposal with a minimum of 800 words

7. physical examination form for foreigners

8. other supporting documents

TO APPLY FOR CSC GRANTS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST CHINA 2022, APPLICANTS NEED TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS. THE FULL PROCEDURES ARE LISTED BELOW IN THE OFFICIAL LINK:

• Apply online at the CSC website https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn, download all the necessary documents and then download the application form. The grant type is B and the agency number is 10251.

• All students are also required to apply online at ECUST: http://apply.ecust.edu.cn/

• PAY AN ONLINE APPLICATION FEE OF 600 CNY
