About the scholarship
Qatar University is a state university in Qatar. There are more than 16,000 students. English
courses are taught to foreign students. The university is the only state university in the
country. Qatar University works on behalf of the Government and the private sector to

To finance:
International Student Scholarships are awarded by the University to new applicants from
outside Qatar. The scholarship may not be transferred to the following academic year.
Applicants for this scholarship are selected on a competitive basis. The goal of the
scholarship is to attract academically excelling international students to Qatar University.
The following will be funded:
Full exemption from tuition fees.
Monthly salary of QAR 500.
Student accommodation (students in the room), which includes transportation to and from
the campus.
Exemption from book fees.
Residency in the State on the university’s sponsorship.
Annual tickets to the student’s home country.

Eligibility requirements
The applicant must have a GCSE or equivalent.
At least 95% of applicants in high school.
Applicants must obtain final (unconditional) admission to university.
Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the college they wish to attend.

Obtaining the scholarship is conditional on admission to university in the semester in which
the scholarship was awarded. The commencement of the study can be postponed for one
semester if necessary and after obtaining the approval of the broadcasting committee. If you
do not pass the first semester, the scholarship will be canceled directly and notified via the
university’s email.
