About the scholarship
All international students from around the world are eligible to apply for the Tongarewa
scholarship at Victoria University in Wellington. Students who wish to study in New Zealand
for a master’s degree and doctorate are encouraged to apply. The scholarship is available
for academic course 2022-23.
A student with an excellent educational background who enrolls in the first year of bachelor’s
degree or enrollment in postgraduate studies can apply for the award. 10 grant of NZ $
10000 for bachelor’s and master’s students and 9 NZ $ 5000 awards for master’s degree
only. 110 PhD degrees are also awarded to students each year worth $27,500 salary per
year plus tuition fees. The scholarship is available to cover tuition fees once the candidate is
enrolled in the university.
Victoria University was founded in Wellington in 1897. According to the QS World University
2021 rankings, the university ranks 215th in the world’s top universities. The university
provides a great learning system for students to learn a lot of skills here. Students have the
best opportunity to study for free in New Zealand.

Funding:
Victoria University Wellington 2022 scholarship for international students will award NZ
$10,000 to bachelor’s and master’s students. That’s 10 prizes. 9 NZ $ 5000 prizes will be
awarded to master’s degree candidates only. – The duration of the grant is one year. 110
prizes will be given to PhD students worth $27,500 annual salary plus tuition fees.

How to Submit
There is an online application system to apply for the Victoria University Scholarship in
Wellington 2022 for international students. Applications are usually opened one month
before the closing date.

Deadline:
The deadline to apply for the Tongarewa grant in the first quarter of 2022 is 30 November
2021. The deadline for applying for the Tongarewa grant in the second semester of 2022 is
June 1, 2022. PhD students can apply until July 1, 2022.
